Good morning ya’ll ministry messages: Heaven and hell

Philippians 1:21 “For me, living is living for Christ, to die is to gain.”
Good morning ya’ll.
I pray that you have a great day today.
Heaven is real! This is a very true and honest destination for our eternal souls. Our journey this month has been about reminding all of us that just as Heaven is a very real destination so too is hell. There may very well be an in between, the option to stay behind here on earth as an always roaming, never resting, forever searching for a home spirit, but this still is not Heaven. It’s no where close. We want to know that when our time to leave this earth comes that we are going to go to Heaven. We also want to make sure that our loved ones also will go to Heaven when their time on earth is done. We want to be reunited in Heaven. God has forgiven us of our sins, Jesus has called us loved and accepted and His blood has washed us clean of our sins. This alone should bring us the exuberant joy to share with everyone we meet so that they also can know this same joy, but then the promise of our eternal souls spending our eternal rest in the place God calls home, in the most beautiful place, more amazing than we can even begin to imagine, is an even greater gift God has given us. Heaven is a very real destination and so we WANT to live our lives on a daily basis with the hope and expectation that if on any given day God should choose to call us home, then we know that we will be going to our Heavenly home and not in the other direction.
Have a fantastic day today.

John 13:8 “Jesus replied, ‘Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.'”
Good morning ya’ll.
I pray that you have a fabulous day today.
Where many of our lives have led us in our pasts, our feet have likely treaded and even dredged through some terrifying and tumultuous turf beneath our feet. When we surrendered our lives to Jesus we asked Him to come into our hearts and wash us clean of the past sins we have committed. We looked towards Heaven with hope in our hearts as we sought the true baptism that would wipe our slate clean and make us new, now our feet have carried us through the good and the bad and these feet will one day carry us into Heaven, it’s important for us to be aware of the cleanliness of our feet. Now that our entire body, heart, mind, and soul have been washed clean by the blood of Jesus, it’s so important for us to be fully aware of the roads and paths that our feet are carrying us to and through from here on out. In the act of washing the feet of His disciples, Jesus demonstrated the importance of serving in our walk through life as we walk with Jesus. Jesus calls us daily to walk close to Him and stay close to Him and when we begin to move away from walking close to Jesus our feet can begin to carry us back towards undesirable paths which can leave us lacking in the peace that Jesus gives us and can cause us to treat ourselves and others with less kindness, compassion, and love. A huge part of service to others begins by making sure that we are first filling ourselves with the word and the wonderful presence of God and Jesus. It’s important for us to wash our own feet (fill ourselves with the word of God, stay in prayer with God, and worship with song and with joy) so that we can go out and serve others with true peace, love, and kindness and these actions will help keep our newly washed clean feet on the good and clear path that will lead our eternal souls towards Heaven.
Have an excellent day today.

Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
Good morning ya’ll.
I pray that you have a wonderful day today.
The other day I found myself watching an episode of Adam 12 on ME TV. In this particular episode was the story about people who were worshipping a witch doctor. This reminded me how for ages and ages there have been many who have come claiming to have the antedote for all of our ailments and often times those antedotes are designed to pull us far away from God even as these “false prophets” make their antedotes appear good for us. Just today a man who oversaw an organization that was promoted as a “self improvement” group claiming to help women feel more confident, was sentenced to 120 years in prison because that organization was actually a cult-like group that sought after seducing young women into having inappropriate relations with this “cult” leader. We have been warned by Jesus Himself that indeed there WILL be false prophets that will forge their way into the lives of even the most well meaning Christian men and women leading them to believe that they are making good and right choices in the name of God all the while these false prophets are going to be leading God’s people away from God, away from the path to Heaven and towards the enemy and towards hell, sometimes even finding that hell right here on earth. This is why it is so very important for us to stay in God’s word, to stay in constant prayer with God, and to share our thoughts and questions we have about God’s word with those in our lives who we trust know God and know the word of God well. From times long gone to the false teachers of today and those still to come, it is so very important for us to Know God, to Know Jesus, and to Know the True Word of God found in the Holy Bible. Thanks be to God.
Have a fantastic day today.

James 4:7 “Resist satan’s attempts to control you. Tell him to get out and he will leave.”
Good morning ya’ll.
I pray that you have an amazing day today .
How quickly we forget that we have power within us to resist the devil and the temptations that the devil brings our way. It’s easy for us to also feel absolutely helpless and powerless in a world so wrought with hatred, divisiveness, anger, strife, and violence all works of the enemy, but James 4:7 reminds us that we who have accepted Jesus into our hearts and who have committed our lives to following the living word of God, we have the very important power to bring positive change into the world and not just into our own little part of the world, but our powerful, faith-filled prayers can bring about positive change to people and circumstances thousands of miles away from us. As Christians we have the very same power within us that raised Jesus from the dead and that very same power within us wants us to strive to pray those powerful prayers to help others to help move the hands of God to make that positive difference. That power within us wants us to do the right things for others out of true love and caring compassion, because God knows that our one or two small acts of kindness can be multiplied by His great hands to help so many more than we ever imagined we could. That power that lives within us wants us to speak out in loud confidence telling the enemy that he has no place in our lives and his presence will never be welcomed in our homes or in our hearts and as we speak these affirmations with the powerful presence of God Almighty, the enemy has to leave and God will draw closer to us to continue moving us in the right directions and to protect us from any future attacks the enemy may still try to bring our way. Say it loud and say it proud, “My God is My Savior, My Rock, My Protector, and My Strength. My God will not leave me nor forsake me. The enemy has no place here. Therefore the enemy has to leave. Draw near to Me God, I pray, and keep me safe from all the lies and attacks the enemy may try to bring my way. Thank you God! Amen!”
Have an amazing day today.

1 Corinthians 10:13 “but when you are tempted God will provide a way out…”
Good morning ya’ll.
I pray that you have a magnificent day today.
Jesus knows temptation. We know this from scripture that teaches us that right after Jesus was baptized He was led into the desert for 40 days and 40 nights and throughout this time Jesus was tempted many times by satan himself. One of those documented temptations we read about is the devil offering to give Jesus full reign and power over all that He could see with great respect and many worshippers as well as an enviable amount of wealth and riches. Jesus boldly and firmly refused the temptations of the enemy because He knew that God’s plan for Him was greater and God’s path for His life was going to ultimately lead Him to an eternity spent in the greater treasures and blessings of Heaven.  The same is true for all of us. Any of us who choose to turn away from the enemy, who confess our sins and repent of our old ways, and we accept Jesus into our hearts, we can know that we can look forward to an eternity spent in the presence of Jesus in the peace, joy, and blessings of Heaven, and knowing that this is the destination of our eternal souls is what gives us the courage, the confidence, and the strength to refuse to give in to the temptations of the devil. Jesus is no stranger to how hard it is to be tempted by the enemy, which is why Jesus tells us to come to Him and ask for His help in saying “NO!” to the temptations put forth by the devil. We know where we want to spend our eternity, we know the path we need to stay on as well as the paths we need to steer clear of, and we know that we do not walk through life alone and when we face these choices and temptations we can ask for help to walk away from those temptations and we will be given the strength and the help we need from the One who knows all too well what it is like to face the challenges of the temptations of this world.
Have a spectacular day today.

Luke 11:35  “See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.”
Good morning ya’ll.
I pray that you have a great day today.
It is our choice. Whether we are to follow Jesus or whether we are to follow our own paths that can lead us very far from Jesus and far from a path to Heaven. God created us all in His perfect image and sent us to earth knowing full well that He also gave us free will, and that free will is what shall ultimately lead us either back home to God or farther and farther from God onto a path that leads to hell. We get to choose, during our journey through life, whether we will choose to worship and follow Jesus, the word of God, and God or whether we choose to worship and put our faith in worldly, material things such as money, our homes, our careers, or other people. These choices about who or what we decide to worship aren’t necessarily punishable offenses as we live our lives, but ultimately our choices about who and what we decide to worship and put our faith in through our lives will be the charge we will have to face at the end of our days here on earth. Jesus already told us in Matthew 10:33 that if we choose to deny Jesus here on earth, then He will also deny us in front of God. This is a truth spoken by Jesus that should be a wakeup call for all of us. Choose wisely who and what you are going to follow, worship, have faith in, and trust throughout your life so that when the days of your life are over you will be able to stand in the presence of Jesus and hear Jesus say, “Welcome home, my friend. We are so happy to see you.” Instead of, “I’m sorry, I have no idea who you are.”
Have an amazing day today.

Luke 16:28 “Let him [Lazarus] warn them [the rich man’s family] so that they will not also come to this place of torment.”
Good morning ya’ll.
I pray that you have an excellent day today.
Many people feel that the definition of hell is what we face in our lives here on earth. Then there comes the harsh reality check of witnessing the total unimaginable evil deeds of someone here on earth such as a serial killer or someone who kills their wife and children and their unborn child out of selfish needs and desires and we immediately think, “well that person is going to rot in hell!” This kind of mindset immediately reminds us that indeed hell is a very real destination we have to accept.
Bryan Chappelle (the president of Covenant Theological Seminary) described hell as “the total, conscious eternal separation from the blessings of God.” For those of us who love and know God, who know Jesus, know faith, we know the blessings God has given us, then this definition alone is a frightening enough reminder that we never, ever want to be separated from God. We have seen many heartbreaking, tragic, and unimaginable moments of destruction that we can find ourselves feeling as though surely there cannot be any place worse than this, but there is and there are those individuals who will one day, like the rich man from the scripture in Luke, they will have put their faith and trust into only the works of their hands and in the material things that they have acquired and in the amount of money they have saved up, and they will never see God as real or necessary to their lives because they have obtained all that they feel they will ever need to face their days on earth, but how they have forgotten such an important truth, that when we leave this earth our eternal souls will either find rest and peace with God in Heaven or our eternal souls will be sent to hell, a place even more horrific than we could ever imagine here on earth. We have seen the glimpses of Heaven and of hell and we know we want to live our lives staying on the path that will lead us to Heaven, we can also pray as much as possible for those who are on the wrong paths with hope and faith that God will enter their hearts, show them His truth, and help lead them also on the path towards Heaven and away from the path that leads to hell.
Have a great day today.

Revelation 21:23 “the city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the Glory of God gives it light and the Lamb is its lamp.”
Good morning ya’ll
I pray that you have a phenomenal day today.
Most of us have often heard the stories of people who have had their own near death experiences and one of the most familiar descriptions these individuals describe is that the first thing they see is a beautiful brilliant light, and in that light there is a sense of peace like they have never known before on earth. Often people will describe seeing loved ones who have already passed on, there to greet them. Some people say they can see themselves laying on the ground or hospital bed just before they saw the white,,brilliant light that welcomed them to come into the light. These stories help to give us a tiny glimpse of what Heaven will be like and what Heavenly blessings and treasures await us when we are called home to our eternal, beautiful, peaceful Heavenly home with God. Imagine, your eternal spirit living on in a place where no one ever goes hungry or thirsty. A place where peace and unity always exist. A place where there is never any heartbreak and no tears are ever shed. A place with joyful singing and dancing and praising for God is always taking place. Imagine, all of the beautiful, peaceful, and joy-giving things you have ever experienced or wanted only 1000 times better than we could have imagined. This is the vision of our eternal home in Heaven with Jesus and God. This is our ultimate destination for our own lives and for us to help lead as many others towards as well. Once you have that amazing glimpse of Heaven, I promise you that you will never want to live a life that could separate you from God, from Jesus, or from the joy, peace, and blessings they provide us now and in our eternal Heavenly home.
Have a terrific day today.

Revelation 20:15 “And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, they were thrown into the lake of fire.”
Good morning ya’ll.
I hope that you have a magnificent day today.
This week we get into the nitty gritty of Heaven and hell.  This journey begins with The Book of Life. We read about The Book of Life several times throughout the bible. As we understand the explanation of the Book of Life this vitally important Book has been in existence in Heaven known by God since the formation of the world. God already knows exactly who’s name He has written in the Book of Life since the beginning of time. It’s amazing to think that God has known about each and every one of us long, long, long before we even took our first breath and He has known our names so well that He knew whether our names would be written into the Book of Life or not. Some might feel that based on their life’s choices and their failures that there must be no possible way that their name could be written in the Book of Life, but this is not something that anyone of us can simply assume and then live our lives accordingly. God knows us AND he knows our hearts and He knows whether our names are written in the Book of Life, which will one day bring us back home. We also read in parts of the Bible that some people’s names will be blotted out from the Book of Life. There are many who might theorize that it is an already predetermined destination whether each one of us will go home to Heaven or whether we will go to hell so why should we bother trying to be good people, but this would be such an incorrect and destructive thinking that could end up leading others to the path that leads to hell because they may think that they are simply not worthy to have their names written in the Book of Life. Again, I will say, God knows us and He knows our hearts. Be true to the heart God has created within you and follow the truth of God’s great word not the opinions of the world. Live every day as though you already know your name is written in the Book of Life and you want to be sure to help as many others as you can also know that their names are written in the Book of Life.
Have an awesome day today.

Proverbs 15:24 “The path of life LEADS UPWARD for the prudent [wise, righteous, those who seek God first] to keep them from going down to the realm of the dead.”
Good morning ya’ll.
I pray that you have a terrific day today.
There is a balance in the whole of God’s creation that keeps everything moving as it should and part of that balance includes Heaven and hell. Just as many things, situations, and people have been ordained to take place in life, so too are both Heaven and hell ordained to be in existence and there will be those who live their lives seeking God, seeking God’s wisdom, wanting to have a relationship with Jesus, wanting to have peace, true joy, and wisdom, which is more valuable than all of the riches in the world. Then there are those who seek only worldly thing, earthly callings, and material possessions. If they can’t touch it, feel it, see it, or own it then they have no use for it. This kind of greed can lead to envy and jealousy which can lead to unimaginable extremes people will go to just to have those worldly, material things yet never once have they ever known God or God’s infinite wisdom. For a price that can be named they have sold their souls to the devil leading them to the realm of death, to the eternal fires of hell. Seeking God, accepting Jesus into your heart, reading and studying God’s word, chasing God’s wisdom, these are the things that we can all do to gain the wisdom, peace, joy, hope, and love of God and this will lead us to walk on our path towards Heaven where all of our loving compassionate good deeds we have done here on earth for God’s true glory will build us amazing mansions in God’s great big house in the sky. There is a delicate balance that seeks to see more of God’s children come home to His eternal home, yet the enemy will rob all too many of that promised eternal home and of their earthly right to joy, peace, happiness, and wisdom. Let us declare today that from this day on God will have our hearts and He will claim victory over our eternal souls so that hell gains fewer and fewer residents, and Heaven will be filled with mighty Godly warriors ready to fight for Heaven and be victorious for all of eternity.
Have an amazing day today.
