“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”Philippians 4:13
Good morning ya’ll. I pray that you have a terrific day today. Many of you may know that early this year, in February, I dedicated myself to working out more consistently, drinking more water and cutting back on how much I eat. I did this envisioning that by now I would be down by at least 10 maybe even 15 pounds. I had, after all, really committed myself whole heartedly to this endeavor. Yesterday, I went to see the endocrinologist that I work for who surprisingly informed me that I have Hashimotos thyroiditis. Essentially my immune system attacks my thyroid as if it were a bad thing thereby causing my thyroid to not function properly. Can you guess how much weight I have lost in relation to this diagnosis? 0 pounds! In fact, since starting this I have even gained a few pounds. This could easily leave me feeling like perhaps I can’t do all things through Christ who gives me strength. But then I remember what I have accomplished not only in this most recent journey-I can walk longer and farther than I did when I started, I can Zumba like a pro, I can feel proud that I make the time to work out everyday, but also in my life. Perhaps the weight loss won’t come, perhaps it will, but no matter which I can find peace and true joy in knowing I CAN do all things through Christ who gives me strength especially when those things align with who God has created me to be.
Have a spectacular day today.
Love San 😊
